Need to refund all individuals who purchased day passes before closure became apparent. It's clear that park won't open. Read more. Date of experience: July A fun way to spend the day. We decided to check this go while wandering the 16th street mall. We were fortunate to run into a couple whose friends had bailed, so they offered to garddns us join them on a family pass. Win :- I thoroughly enjoyed some of the coasters, although the lines are expectedly long. It's worth buying ahead online to save some intk. It was fun, but plan on making this an all what is an rtmp url adventure to really get your money's worth. Date of experience: September Mason Henry wrote a review Mar Denver, Colorado 1 contribution. A fun local amusement park. I grew up going to How much does it cost to get into elitch gardens Gardens and have fond memories of it. Granted there are great but also very bad rides. It's a beautiful park and is photogenic to say the least. Some of the classics were sadly SBNO all season. One of the better ones called Hollywood and Vine rarely runs but is a lot of fun. The new star-flyer is fast and actually pretty thrilling for a swing ride. Turn of the Century is a fun family ride with a nice setting on the water. The new Kaleidescape ride is pretty strange and honesty a bit boring compared to Ghostblasters, the ride before it. It's fun and all but it's just kinda boring and would've ibto better as a walk through attraction instead. That or have more targets to shoot to have a challenge would've helped. The Roller Coasters: Two of the coasters, one in particular is very dies and you are guaranteed to have head banging. Mind Eraser was incredibly rough as usual, and the hard over the shoulder restraints can give you a really bad headache. If you ride defensively like you were about to get beaten up, then you may enjoy the ride. It's intense but the old Vekoma SLC restraints ruin the ride unfortunately. The Boomerang is pretty fun, but if you've ridden a Vekoma Boomerang you know what the ride is all about. It's usually smooth, though there were times I rode it and got off with a splitting headache. The Sidewinder is by far the smoothest and most noteworthy ride steel coaster how to get a 5 digit sms number the park. It has two great moments of airtime as the train drops both directions. Twister II has become my favorite coaster in the park since the retracking from last off season. It's intense, pretty lengthy and not too rough anymore. Rides such as Half Pipe how much does it cost to get into elitch gardens open however which was a bit of a shame. For kids the Blazing Buckaroo looks like a fun ride and even goes around the course twice. Disaster Canyon and Shipwreck Falls. Disaster Canyon is a River Rapids ride and can get you pretty wet. At one point it used to have water jets that sprayed you that are now not. You may get wet but not too wet. If you want to be soaked however Shipwreck Falls might be your ride. A traditional Shoot the Chute boat ride that will soak you. Ih a fun ride but the water is dirtier than some rivers I've seen. So if you don't get water in your eyes or mouth how to make gta 5 install faster ps4 may be the ride for you. I do really wish they could find a better way to filter the water out. Island Kingdom Section: I normally don't like water-parks but I definitely enjoyed my time at the Elitch's water park. There are a lot of slides, the lazy river is calm, but can also be fun. Plus the wave pool's waves get pretty large. Some slides are multiple person, while others are singular slides. Overall the water-park is definitely worth a look when you visit the park. It has a great variety of slides, there are umbrellas and seating pretty much everywhere, so you can relax and cool off on really blistering hot days. Facilities: The food is very expensive, similarly to other parks such as Six Flags or Cedar Fair parks. Depending on which stands you go to you can have good or terrible food. Garden of the time the food is just average. In the main food court adjacent to Kaleidescape you can get some decent food. The more corporate food stands can be good but usually aren't. The restrooms were pretty clean and very rarely did I ever experience anything unsanitary. There is even an area with arcade games and air hockey near Brain Drain. Staff: The staff are pretty friendly and sometimes what is the recipe for fairy cakes the ride experience by hyping people up. There were times that staff members were snarky but most of the time they were fun and energetic. It mostly depended on the day of the week. Despite the fact that the park is rumored to move sometime in the future you can tell that the management is keeping up the safety. If anything, the park was better than I remember it being when I last went in In fact I enjoyed it so much that I came back nearly every weekend. Overall I highly recommend Elitch's to anybody passing through the Denver area during its operating season. Date of experience: May Helpful Share. I is easily accessible to major roadways and parking is on We decided to check this out while wandering the 16th street mall. We were fortunate to run into a Elitch Gardens lacks signature rides that really elevate this park from a carnival-style attraction to a respectable theme park. To start, there's no real theme. You can see the ghosts of when Six Flags owned this, but it lacks all character now. While there are no major theme parks in the region, this probably won't satisfy your desire for thrills. Small children will enjoy it, but there's a lot more you can do in Colorado than waste a day here. There are a few good rides, but it feels like a permanent carnival and some rides actually came from traveling carnivals. Fine for an occasional visit for locals, but not something to invest much excitement into. For a once a year visit I always leave feeling a bit ripped off. The kids of course love it and they get there money's worth but I think they should have an entry only price for those that don't do the rides. If you do a season pass I can see it being much better deal. I grew up visiting this theme park and was all about it. The quality and cleanliness of the park have gone down over the years, and the cost has continued to go up. Nevertheless, it is a good place to go if you have kids, and if you think you will visit more than twice in one season, a season pass is a great idea as you can get two free guest passes with it if you buy it early enough in the season. I have bought season passes the last two summers, but will not be renewing as I did not make enough use of them. The water park is overcrowded and it costs way too much to rent a locker. Also, the food here is subpar and very expensive, so bring your own if you can get away with it, or keep a cooler of food and drinks in the car, get a handstamp at the front entrance, and come back in after you eat. Elitch is great for what it is! No amusement park is clean, and in my experience, no amusement park staff are friendly and helpful. That being said, Elitch ranks right up there with the best of them. The rides are nothing fantastic, but its a nice reprieve from city doldrums and worth a day's time! My family actually enjoyed the water park more than anything. It really has a lot to offer for the middle of the city. Lots of slides, great pools and of course the lazy river. Has Elitch's ever changed? There is no room for expansion so the rides will forever remain the same. Lines are incredibly way too long. Small park with big prices. If you're an adult, it's best to go when kids are in school so you won't be waiting as long. Not only is this place over priced. After only been there for 3 hours it started lightly raining now when i say "lightly raining" keep in mind a few water drops here and there. Because of this they decided to stop all rides, when there is no lightning or thunder storms only the big rides are shut down not all rides. To top it off we got in line like everyone else for a refund to find out no refund would be given. They did offer passes so if you had bought 3 passes they gave you 3 passes keep in mind they only validated them for 6 months. What about the people that don't live in Denver!!!! That's ok for people who live in Denver who will go back to the theme park. Hi Cynthia, thank you for your feedback. We strive to provide our guests with a fun and memorable experience each time they visit, and it appears that we fell short of that during your day at the park. Regarding the ride closures you encountered, safety is our number one priority and rides sometimes need to be closed temporarily for weather or maintenance. We understand this may feel like an inconvenience for our guests, and we are sorry you were disappointed. We will pass your comments along to our executive team so that we can improve upon our guest experience. If you have any additional comments or concerns, please contact us at comments elitchgardens.
